Islamophobia or Islamorealism?

In clinical psychology, a phobia is a type of anxiety disorder, usually defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational. So – are we being irrational in our fear of Islam?

The video above is interesting as it succinctly presents the ‘best’ moments of the prophet’s life – if you are interested in the truth about him. It’s an unpleasant list of his top accomplishments. Ordering the slaying of infidels – in particular Jews. Engaging in the slave trade and sleeping with his maid. Having 9 wives, one of which he had intercourse with when she was aged only 9. Having numerous very convenient revelations which had the effects of empowering him, making him rich and of motivating his followers to murder and conquer on his behalf. By his death he had unified the Arab nations under a single monotheistic religion – Islam (meaning ‘surrender’/’submission’). He had amassed wealth and a position of unalterable power (anyone who questioned him was put to death).

In his early days as a prophet,

“Most Meccans ignored him and mocked him,[74] though a few became his followers. There were three main groups of early converts to Islam: younger brothers and sons of great merchants; people who had fallen out of the first rank in their tribe or failed to attain it; and the weak, mostly unprotected foreigners.[77]From Wikipedia

In parallel to these early failures in life adopting Islam, we have the abject failures of the Kouachi brothers who were deemed ‘Not intelligent enough to resist extremism’. Not a great start nor a great continuation.

“Muhammad, desperately hoping for an accommodation with his tribe, pronounced a verse acknowledging the existence of three Meccan goddesses considered to be the daughters of Allah. Muhammad retracted the verses the next day at the behest of Gabriel, claiming that the verses were whispered by the devil himself. Instead, a ridicule of these gods was offered.[85][n 5][n 6] This episode known as “The Story of the Cranes” (translation: قصة الغرانيق,transliteration: Qissat al Gharaneeq) is also known as “Satanic Verses”  From Wikipedia

The episode above should have been enough to give pause to any followers – early or later. If Satan could so easily insert verses into the revelation – who really knows if ANY revelations were not from him?

Dante’sDivine Comedy (Inferno, Canto 28), written in the early 1300s, puts Muhammad and his son-in-law Ali, in Hell “among the sowers of discord and the schismatics, being lacerated by devils again and again.”[15] From Wikipedia

The beginning of Islamic conquest is seen here:

“Muhammad delivered Quranicverses permitting Muslims to fight the Meccans (see sura Al-Hajj, Quran 22:39–40).[110] These attacks allowed the migrants to acquire wealth, power and prestige while working towards the ultimate goal of conquering Mecca.[111][112]  From Wikipedia

At the end of the Muhammad’s life this is the map of the region (note the black lines of the Caliphate):

“According to William Montgomery Watt and Richard Bell, recent writers generally dismiss the idea that Muhammad deliberately deceived his followers, arguing that Muhammad “was absolutely sincere and acted in complete good faith”[282]and Muhammad’s readiness to endure hardship for his cause, with what seemed to be no rational basis for hope, shows his sincerity.[283] Watt says that sincerity does not directly imply correctness: In contemporary terms, Muhammad might have mistaken his subconscious for divine revelation.[284] From Wikipedia

It seems clear that these revelations may well have been the product of a febrile subconscious as Watt suggests, being mistaken in the pre-modern world as ‘revelations’. Either way – the revelations helped Muhammad die a rich and powerful man – unlike Jesus Christ, who was not warlike, did not incite hatred or killings in the name of God, nor incite his followers to take riches in the name of God.

In Islam’s history it has conquered nation after nation, forcing conversions from the native peoples in India to the Ottoman Empire in central Europe and the Middle East to places as far away as Indonesia and even Visigothic Hispania.

  1. Islamism (Islam and -ism) or political Islam (Arabic: الإسلام السياسي‎ Islām siyāsī; or الإسلامية al-Islāmīyah) is a set of ideologies holding that “Islam should guide social and political as well as personal life”. From Wikipedia.

In the modern era, Islamism has come to the fore as the way Islam is threatening not just Western civilisation but also impoverished people in places such as Nigeria, Kenya, Pakistan and Afghanistan where Boko-Haram, the Taliban and other Islamic groups have been slaughtering innocents in their thousands – far more than any terrorist atrocities in Europe. This is probably because jihadis are cowardly by nature and target children and the defenceless in their bloody quest for fame.

Yet the threat from these cowardly morons is without end. Bernard Lewis says Islam imposes, without limit of time or space, the duty to subjugate non-Muslims.[34]

“…it is the duty of those who have accepted them [Allah’s word and message] to strive unceasingly to convert or at least to subjugate those who have not. This obligation is without limit of time or space. It must continue until the whole world has either accepted the Islamic faith or submitted to the power of the Islamic state.” From Wikipedia

“Militant Islamic fundamentalist organisations portray their struggle in simply uncompromising terms. According to Antar Zouabri, a leader of a 1990s movement to establish an Islamic republic in Algeria, there can never be either dialogue or truce in his organisation’s struggle against the illegitimate, secular government. The word of God, he argued, is immutable: God does not negotiate or engage in discussion.[40] From Wikipedia.

And yet, being motivated to commit Islamist terror atrocities doesn’t tend to come with high moral standards in other respects:

Given their perceived piety, The Times noted the irony when a major[66] investigation by their reporters uncovered a link between Islamic Jihadis and child pornography; a discovery that, according to the London paper, “is expected to improve understanding of the mindsets of both types of criminals and has been hailed as a potentially vital intelligence tool to undermine future terrorist plots.”.[67] Similarly, Reuters reported that pornography was found among the materials seized from Osama bin Laden’s Abbottabad compound that was raided by U.S. Navy SEALs.[68]

The fact is – Islamic terror more probably stems from a fraudulent perception of Islam and Muslims as constantly under attack and humiliated by the West. This, allied with the history of violence in Muhammad’s very life, as well as the Quranic ‘sword verses’ is a toxic brew.

In 2006 Britain’s then head of MI5Eliza Manningham-Buller said of Al-Qaeda that it “has developed an ideology which claims that Islam is under attack, and needs to be defended”. “This” she said “is a powerful narrative that weaves together conflicts from across the globe, presenting the West’s response to varied and complex issues, from long-standing disputes such as Israel/Palestine and Kashmir to more recent events as evidence of an across-the-board determination to undermine and humiliate Islam worldwide.”[69]  All from Wikipedia.

A report from the Middle East Media and Research Institute (MEMRI) quoted a number of jihadi sources expressing their approval of the attack.

Arabic-speaking jihad supporters also celebrated the attack on Twitter, some using the Arabic hashtag “Paris Is Burning.” Many of them shared videos from the scene of the attack, calling the shooters “heroes” and praising them for avenging the honor of the Prophet and of Islam. One, who calls himself Najam (@35njm), wrote: “#Paris Is Burning. Oh Allah slaughter them, Allah attack them. This newspaper insulted the Messenger of Allah and Islam.”

So – is Islamophobia a thing, are we really being disproportionately or irrationally afraid of Islam? Or should our leaders and media rather begin taking a daily dose of Islamorealism?

I would say that it is perfectly rational and understandable to have a fear and loathing of this religion and of its participants – there are TOO MANY examples of ACTUAL attacks and yet we see our political leaders and media tacitly acquiescing to the fraudulent idea of Islamophobia. There are precisely NO Muslims being killed by non-muslims in revenge for their attacks on us. Their constant carping on about the threat of attacks is simply paranoia and an attempt to divert attention from their own constant and very real attacks on us.

We are simply rightly aware of the history of this religion and of the murderous actions of those who speak in its name. Our leaders suffer from a misplaced sense of concern for Muslims, when in FACT Jews are being driven out of France today by the threats and actions of Muslims (who have a nasty secret of Jew Hatred), native people are being treated like dirt in UK cities such as Birmingham and Rotherham and Luton and of course, thousands are dying worldwide thanks to Islamism. This tacit auto-blinding of our leaders in the face of constant attack on our very civilisation gives tacit approval to those who wish to destroy us. It allows them to deflect attention from their crimes and gives them the oxygen of publicity and the space in which to plot and celebrate successful plots. It gives credence and nourishment to the Islamic Cult of Victimhood seen globally – they attack Israel with constant rocket attacks, then mourn and weep when Israel finally is awakened and retaliates. Saddam Hussein was murdering his own people, the Taliban was subjugating the people of Afghanistan, the West comes in to remove them which would seem like a good thing to do were one the subjugated people, and again, Islam mourns in pain at our ‘attack’ on them – whilst blowing up our peace keeping forces using IEDs, and plotting ‘revenge’ attacks on the West, of course.

Islam is so insecure, so fragile a belief system, that it actively looks for ways it can feel victimised as an excuse to react violently and hopefully subjugate in turn. Islam has betrayed the hand that feeds (our welcome in the West, our aid money, our armies removing dictators etc) and only seeks to attack. Fat chance of living together in perfect harmony – it hasn’t happened before and will never happen. Islam simply wants to wipe out dissent and become the people in power.

People like Miriam Francois-Cerrah say that it is us in the West who should be doing more to prevent young Muslim men from becoming radicalised – through efforts to stop disenfranchisement. Yes – there are problems in society – but there are plenty of poor, disenfranchised young men who are nor Muslim, who do not blow themselves up! The constant blaming of US for Muslims’ killing us is bogus. Look at the example of the terrible killings in Nigeria and Pakistan.

There are no commentators blaming the governments of Nigeria or Pakistan for these acts because they failed to integrate their Muslims – no – because in the case of the latter, Muslims are the majority. As Douglas Murray wonderfully states in the video below – when Muslims are in a minority, they are very keen that equal rights should apply to them, as a minority. The second they are in a majority however, they remove equal rights for women, gays, tolerance for other religions – etc. Look at Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran – not much diversity there, you will find.

Why should we in the West have to take responsibility for a people who openly assert their hatred of US? We already give these people free healthcare, education, benefits, jobs if they seek them and tolerance in the upholding of the Human Rights law. Yet all we hear in return is hate, blaming everything from pornography to foreign policy for helping these people to become radicalised.

Any other criminal from the age of 10 in the UK is help criminally responsible. Why are we treating Muslims differently?  Why do our leaders and media give special consideration to Muslims when they behave badly? Surely they are not children? If a TEN year old child can be given criminal responsibility – surely young Muslim MEN can too. To make Muslims see that they are truly equal to the rest of us – their Hate Crimes, Treason as well as plotting Acts of terror should be punished just as severely as it were non-Muslims perpetrating them.

We should stop allowing Sharia law, Halal and any other special treatment for Muslims – they need to learn that equal rights mean being treated like everyone else. Importantly we must stop cousin marriage too – it is crazy we currently allow it as it leads to genetic as well as mental defects. Treating Muslims like everyone else should begin to make them see they should behave like everyone else, according to basic standards of decency and good behaviour, and obey our laws.

The fact is Muslims are the biggest killers of other Muslims – and that is before we consider their butchery of Hindus, Buddhists, Yazidis, Christians, Gays, women who have been raped, their own children who somehow damage their ‘honour’ – and of course, Jews. The list goes on, sadly.

There ought to be a new term coined for this misplaced yet conscious pandering to the false narrative of ‘Islam under Attack’ – this conscious blindness to Islamo-Fraud, perhaps ‘Islamofantasy’, ‘Islamophilia’ or ‘Islamofantasia’? I look forward to receiving suggestions.

Pandering to Islam is like telling the victim of an abusive relationship to grow up and stop discriminating and fearing the abuser.
